  • Thoughts of My Grandparents:
When I was a little girl I used to spend most of my weekends with my Grandparents or, so I remember it to be.  My Grandfather Eric and Grandmother Rose would come by on Friday afternoons to pick me up.  I would be all ready and packed to go - constantly monitoring the front door so; I can seize the first glimpse of their car pulling up in front of the house.   With the first sight of them - I would ran out the door into their arms getting my missed hugs and kisses.  Of course like most young children at that time I got into trouble as well.  For example I was always fascinated by watching my Grandmother Rose used her sewing machine.  Whenever, she would be napping and I was up playing dollhouse I would find myself wondering around the machine...next I would be sitting on the chair...my little fingers putting some piece of cloth near under the needle and then my feet reaching for the peddle.  Of course, for the times I didn't get catch on the sewing machine - she somehow founded out I was playing with it.

Wanting to sleep late with it being the weekend - I expected to stay up late with her and Grandfather Eric, but My Grandmother would say, "Early to bed, early to rise makes a woman healthy, wealthy and wise."

    Present:
These past few days I can't seem to get enough sleep.  In the afternoons I tell myself I will be in bed by 9:30 PM - only to find myself in bed after 11:00 PM.  The truth is - I get very cranky when I need more sleep and it's time to get up.  I think I need to activate my Grandmother theory once again.

  • You've always went to bed late....what are you talking about? You would think 11pm is early for you. I'm the one who's usually in bed by 9pm.

  • I agree--your grandma had it right! I (standing before the Latenighters Anonymous meeting) am a nightowl and I need to change!!  LOL

Just browsing by your site~nice to "meet" you!
